Explanation:

Ques 1.

a) H+

Number of protons+Number of neutrons = Nucleon Number

Protons = 1

Neutrons = 1-1 = 0

Generally in an atom, Number of Protons = number of electrons

But in H+ , due to +ve charge, there is one less electron

So, Electrons = 1-1= 0

b) Be2+

Protons= 4

Neutrons = 9-4 = 5

Electrons = 4- 2 = 2 because of 2 positive charges

c)F-

Protons= 9

Neutrons= 19-9 =10

Electrons= 9 + 1 =10 because of one -ve charge.

Ques 2.

a) K L M - 2, 8, 8, 2

Number of protons= Number of electrons, in an element

Thus, the element lacks 2 electrons and has a charge +2.

b) The ion is Ca2+.

c)Refer to the image.
