Thirty tickets were sold for a concert, some at 60 cents and
the rest at $1. If the total raised was $22, how many had the
cheaper tickets?​

The extra $22-$18=$4 was raised from tickets costing $1. Each $1 ticket raises an extra 40c, so 400c/40c = 10 tickets were sold for $1 and 30-10=20 for 60c.
