The hidden side of dictatorship is massacre or killing of innocent people. Anybody who opposes the policies of a dictator is killed. Since the dictators control the media, the public never comes to know the number of people killed.

(ii) No, it isn't essential for each dictatorship to have a hidden aspect. Because, if the dictator truly desires to work for the betterment of people, he does not want to have a hidden aspect.

(a) The riot through the military occurred in Chile on 11th September 1973 by General Augusto Pinochet, where President Salvador Allende was killed. Pinochet have become the president of the country and dominated it for the following 17 years.

(c) General Sani Abacha became a Nigerian navy dictator and politician. He became the defacto president of Nigeria from 1993 to 1998.
