This electric pole along the highway near a village called 'chordi' has become a tourist attraction. It appears bent towards the observer but appears straight when one sees it from the side. There has to be some scientific explanation.

This is really an interesting question and there are many viral videos going on about the same! Well there is nothing so mysterious or magical...
Firstly the location which mentioned is of a place where the temperature is very high and a significant amount of change in temperature is seen as and when we leave the earth's surface radially outwards
Due to change in the temperature, the density of air changes which contributes the change in refractive index. Thus due to refraction the light rays coming from the object get bent at each and every point along its path and thus a false observation is produced in observers eye
Note :-Only the upper part of the electric pole appears to bent not the lower part because as the observer has a height less than that of electric pole therefore the light rays from the top has to reach the observer and in the process it undergoes refraction due to change in density of the atmosphere while that in the lower part doesn't experience such change because density of air is uniform at same level (that is at the same height from the earth's surface) hence the lower part appears to be normal without any bending....
While in the side view the entire pole appears in the same plane and this plane is perpendicular to the plane of the observer thus the refraction doesn't create a significant amount of change in the view...
Hence The electric pole along the highway appears bent towards the observer but appears straight when one sees it from the side.
