Packet Filter Firewall.
This technique applies security mechanisms to specific applications, such as FTP and Telnet servers
Explanation:
FTP is used for transferring the files from one system to another system.
TELNET is used for remote login for a system.
Packet-filtering firewalls make processing decisions based on network addresses, ports, or protocols.
It is very fast because there is not much logic going behind the decisions.
Firewall do not store any state information and one have to manually open ports for all traffic that will flow through the firewall.
There could be suspicious traffic being sent through this firewall but as long as it’s on an acceptable port, it will not be blocked.
