We could hardly wait for the train to stop at the station. The five of us were ready with our baggage and neatly queued up near the door of our train compartment. The moment the train stopped, we all jumped out and of course grandpa, grandma, uncle, aunt and their three children were waiting for us at the platform. We were all so excited to be meeting after a very long time and everyone tried to talk at the same time.
Later we all bundled up inside two cars and reached grandpa’s house, which was a huge one with several rooms. After breakfast, we children had a great time running around and playing. The elders sat outside in the lawn and were lost in conversation.
The house as well as the neighbourhood were gaily decorated for the festive season. In the evening, we all went to the nearby temple and watched the various programmes being held in the temple ground.
We returned home late and wound up day one, tired but very happy!
Dussehra is my favorite festival. The theme of this festive season makes everyone happy.
Dussehra holidays are full of fun but some home works by school interrupt the fun.
Nevertheless, I had completed my task in 3-4 days and rest I enjoyed a lot with my family and friends. Overall my experience was awesome.
