Equivalent resistance of R₁₂ and R₃ is

Rp = (R₁₂ x R₃) /(R₁₂ + R₃)

= 6 x 3 /9

= 2 Ω

R₄ , Rp and R₅ are in series.

Equivalent resistance of the circuit is

Req = R₄ + Rp + R₅

= 0.5 + 2 + 0.5

= 3 Ω
