= a^2 = ab.

(multiplying both sides by a)

=(a)^2 - (b)^2= ab - (b)^2

=(a+b) (a-b) = b(a-b)

Cancelling (a-b) from both sides we get=

a+b = b

=2b = b (since a=b)

= 2= 1
