This is a wall clock. It falls down and breaks into exactly two pieces.
The addition of the numbers in the smaller piece is 31.
And the numbers in the bigger piece addup to 30.
How exactly did the wall clock break?
Remember there are only 2 pieces.

Hello Dear,

Solution :

Please look at the picture attatched for the possible break of that wall clock.

It breaks like that,so that 12 becomes 1 in one part and 2 in another

where as 8 becomes 0 in both parts as it breaks in between.

So sum of digits in one part:

2+1+2+3+4+5+6+7+0 = 30

in second part digits are: 0+9+10+11+1 = 31

Thus by this way this problem can solved.

Otherwise if the clock does not break in between the numbers then sum of all the digits of clock is 1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9+10+11+12= 78

Their sum is 30.

Hence, the clock breaks vertically separating 1 and 2 from 12 and horizontally separating 8 into 0 and 0.
