Explanation:

1 : chiasmata formation (x shaped st.) i.e diplotene.

2. nxt stg is diakinesis.(where terminalisation of chiasmata occur). During D's phase the chromosomes are fully condensed & homologous chromosomes prepare for separation.by d end of diakinesis ,the nucleolus disappears & nuclear envelope also breaks down.

3. the tendency of recombined homologous chromosomes of bivalent to separate from each other except at d site of crossovers.

4. Here, genetic variability increases,and 4 haploid cells are formed at the end of this cell dvn.... (meiosis) and d other u hv studied earlier was mitosis... where there is no variation occurs.

and 2 gametes are formed.
