Answer:

13metre

Explanation:

Hypotenuse^2=Perpendicular ^2+Base^2

In ️ ABC

BC^2=AB^2+AC^2

10^2=6^2+AC^2

100=36+AC^2

100-36=AC^2

root over 64=AC

8=AC

AC=8

In ️CDE

CD^2=DE^2+CE^2

13^2=12^2+CE^2

169=144+CE^2

169-144=CE^2

root over 25=CE

5=CE

CE=5

Therefore displacement =AC+CE=8+5=13m

Answer:

Displacement = Ac + CE

Explanation:

1. AC

AC = (base)² = (Hypotenuse)² - (Perpendicular)²

AC² = ( BC )² - ( AB )²

AC² = ( 10 )² - ( 6 )² = 100 - 36 = 64

AC = 8 .

2. CE

CE² = ( Base )² = ( Hypotenuse )² - ( Perpendicular)²

CE² = ( CD)² - ( DE )²

CE² = 169 - 144 = 25

CE = 5 .

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Displacement = Ac + CE = 8 + 5 = 13 m.
