sorrry. . . that is union there.. so... universal set is the correct answer.. as u can also apply de movires theorem there... in (xintersection y compliment)

complement is the left out area in union set
it means that from universal set u just have to substract what is given as compliment
example compliment in x means the area whicch does not belongs to x
I mean if subset is removed from a union set then the left area will be complement

as (x intersectin y)' = x' union y'= u
x union u = u
as (x intersectin y)' = x' union y'= u
x union u = u
