Answer:

This is how I practice Swacchta in my daily life

As the saying goes ‘Charity begins at home’, which means we should help and care for our own family first, before we start helping other people. Similarly cleanliness must begin at everyone’s own home.

The entire nation is abuzz with the cleanliness drives and campaigns under the impetus of ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’.  We must ensure we become the real participant in this crusade against the dirt and squalor in true spirit. We must start the cleanliness drive from our own home and surroundings.  Our zeal and enthusiasm for the cleanliness drive is useless, if our own home and surroundings are unclean, and we are spending hours cleaning the streets in other areas.

I practice cleanliness by cleaning my own room, my own cupboard, my own toilet, my own kitchen, and my own surroundings. If I keep my own room and surroundings clean, or am able to maintain the cleanliness around me, then I am practicing real Swachhta. At school also whenever I see any litter I clean it. I polish my shoes every evening. I believe if every individual keeps himself/herself clean, then the entire country will automatically become clean.

Only a person who is clean can teach others to be clean.  This is how we must go about this cleanliness drive. Remember, only a lit candle can light other unlit candles. Similarly, people who keep themselves clean and their surroundings clean, can help other people to achieve cleanliness objectives.

Besides, a man or woman who keeps himself/herself clean is an inspiration for many. By being perfect role-models we can do much more than by volunteering for cleanliness rallies, which are usually organized for hype in media!

So let the cleanliness begin at your own home! If each one starts maintaining cleanliness at his/her own home, the entire nation will automatically become clean.

The ways I practice Swachhta are, disposing of garbage in a specific place where it is collected by municipality every weekend. Not using plastic packets , bottles, as they are non biodegradable. Not littering and spitting on road as this acts as an incubator for the germs and bacterias to grow
