The most urgent need of India today is to find the means of reducing the want and the stress of her people. The cultivators

live in the most terrible condition. They grow food for all but most of themselves remain in acute hunger. The labourers of

mills and factories live in great misery in India. Those who had a little higher in ranks are really much poorer than most

ordinary people in foreign countries. We must try to improve the condition of a common people. They are the largest part

of the natation As long as they remain unfed, poor and miserable, there can be no real progress of our country in any

direction.
