Hey!!!

I'm here as promised

_______________

We have

=> f(x) = x³ - 6x² + 3x + 10

Zeros => a , a + b and a + 2b

Thus the zeros are in AP
(This is a concept taught to you in class 10 later in the chapter Arithmetic Progression)

Let the zeros be a - d , a and a + d

We know,

Sum of zeros = -b/a

=> a - d + a + a + d = 6

=> 3a = 6

=> a = 2 (Answer)

We know

Product of zeros = -d/a

=> a(a - d)(a + d) = -10

=> a(a² - d²) = -10

=> 2(4 - d²) = -10

=> 4 - d² = -5

=> d² = 9

=> d = 3

=> b = 3 (Answer)

Thus zeros

=> a - d , a and a + d

=> - 1 , 2 and 5

______________

Hope this helps ✌️

sowmiya7: this question is from polynomials
RishabhBansal: yes
RishabhBansal: but two concepts can be merged within a single question
sowmiya7: oh
RishabhBansal: you'll get a lot of such merged questions in Surface And volume chapter later
sowmiya7: omg
RishabhBansal: in RF
RishabhBansal: RD*
sowmiya7: can u give me the board papers pic
RishabhBansal: you cannot send pics I'm sorry if you have any doubts they are welcome
