Answer:

angles 1 and 2 are in ratio5:7 so let angle 1 be 5x and angle 2 be 7x

angle1+angle2=180°

5x +7x =180°

12x =180°

x=15°

therefore angle 1 =5x =5×15=75

angle 2 =7x=7×15=95

angle 1 =angle3 as vertically opposite angles are equal

so angle 3 =75°

angle 2=angle 6 =95° as corresponding angles are equal

angle 6=angle8=95° as opposite angles are equal

therefore, angle1=75° angle2=95° angle 3=75° and angle 8 = 95°

Q-2

ratio of angle(2) and angle(1) = 5:7

let angle (2) = 5x

let angle(1) = 7x

according to the given fig

angle(2) + angle (1) = 180°

5x + 7x = 180°

x = 180/12

x = 15

so,

angle(1) = 5×15

angle(1) = 75°

and,

angle(2) = 7× 15

angel(2) = 105°

angle(1) = angle (3) [vertically opposite angles are equal]

angle (3) = 75°

angle(3) = angle(5). [alternative interior angles]

so angle(5) = 75°

angle(5) +angle(8) = 180°

angle(8) = 180° - 75°

angle(8) = 105°

therefore

angle (1) = 75°

angle(2) = 105°

angle (3) = 75°

angle(8) = 105°
