We know ray is inclined at an angle of 45 deg.

So by trigonometry,

After 1 reflection it will cover distance :

Tan 45 = dis in 1 reflection/ 1 cm

1 = dis in 1 reflection/ 1 cm

Distance covered in 1 reflection

= 1 cm = 0.01 m

Now,

Let no of reflections occurring be n .

Then,

n x 0.01 m = 1 m

n = 1/ 0.01

n = 100

Therefore , 100 reflections will take place before light ray comes out from both the mirrors

Hence, Answer is OPTION (c) 100

Heya!!

Here is your answer -

We know ray is inclined at an angle of 45 deg.

So by trigonometry,

After 1 reflection it will cover distance :

Tan 45 = dis in 1 reflection/ 1 cm

1 = dis in 1 reflection/ 1 cm

Distance covered in 1 reflection

= 1 cm = 0.01 m

Now,

Let no of reflections occurring be n .

Then,

n x 0.01 m = 1 m

n = 1/ 0.01

n = 100

Therefore , 100 reflections will take place before light ray comes out from both the mirrors
