SOLUTION:-

It is better to consider that quadrilateral is Rectangle. I know not mentioned, but is clearly visible.

First find the area of rectangle then, then find the area of triangle ABE and area of triangle CDE.

After that, to find the area of Shaded region Add the areas of both triangle and then substract it from area of Rectangle.

Find the value of AE, then use pythagoras theorem to find tge hypotenuse.

Then you will get the value of BE.

After that constant a segment originating from vertex E, perpendicular to BC

Then consider AE - BC then you will get the side of newly formed triangle. Use pythagoras theorem to find tge height of triangle BEC. Then use formula of area if triangle to find the area of shaded region.
