INDIAN REBELLION OF 1857 is the answer.
This was India's initial war towards liberty or India's initial battle for independence. It started on 10 May 1857, as a revolt of soldiers of the English East India Organization's armed force. Soldiers in the Administration of Bengal rebelled against their English officers.
The reasons for the revolt are difficult to bind and have been highly contended about. Prior to the Rebellion, there were 50,000 English troops, and 300,000 soldiers serving in the East India Company military.
The strengths were isolated into three government armed forces: Bombay, Madras, and Bengal. The make-up of these armed forces shifted from area to territory.
