• In many parts of our country, especially in rural and poor areas, there are neither proper schools nor teachers who can teach and guide them on a regular basis.

• There is no transport facility. If a school happens to be far from people's home, parents show unwillingness to send their girls to school.

• Many families are very poor and are thus unable to bear the cost of educating all their children.

• Moreover, people in rural areas are illiterate and uneducated and tend to devalue the importance of educating their child irrespective of their genders. They feel that educating a girl child is just a waste of money cause ultimately the girl has to get married someday and has to get indulged in homely works in her in-laws house.

• In such an apparent situation, boys get preference and girls are forced to stay indoors.
