GIVEN :-

  • Parallel sides of trapezium are 30cm and 40cm .
  • Area of trapezium = 200 cm²

TO FIND :-

  • Distance between the parallel sides.

SOLUTION :-

   Formula to find the area of trapezium ,

                       = \sf \dfrac{1}{2} \times Sum \ of \ parallel \ sides \times Distance \ between \ them

         \sf Distance \ between \ them = \dfrac{Area \times 2}{Sum \ of \ parallel \ sides }

                                               =\sf \dfrac{220 \times 2}{30+14} \\\\= \dfrac{220 \times 2}{44}\\\\=5 \times 2\\\\= \bf 10 \ cm
