Legislative Assembly Election of Manipur was organised in March, 2017. 60 MLAs were supposed to be elected in that election.

Indian National Congress (INC) won highest number of seats in this election, with 28 seats.

But they failed to get the absolute majority in the Assembly, so Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) formed the government with the support of some other parties.
