Given -

let ∆s be ∆ ABC & ∆ DEF

Both triangles are similar . i.e, ∆ABC ~ ∆ DEF and

areas are equal. i.e., ar∆ ABC = ar∆ DEF

To prove -

Both triangles are congruent . i.e., ∆ ABC ~= ∆ DEF
