  • Two Equations
  • 4x+8y=10
  • 2x+3y=5

{\sf{\green{\underline{\large{To\:find}}}}}

  • The equation is either consistent or inconsistent

{\sf{\pink{\underline{\Large{Explanation}}}}}

InConsistent

  • in inconsistent the values are satisfied to the both equation
  • Therefore it give no any solution

Let solve the equation

4x+8y=10____(1)

&

2x+3y=5___(2)

Multiplying by 2 in Equation (2)

4x+6y=10____(3)

Solving equations 1 and 3

  • By Elimination method

4x+6y=10

4x+8y=10

_________

y=0

utting the value of y in (1)

4x=10

=>X=5/2

from this We conclude that

  • The equation is consistent
  • They have unique solution

Hence, given equation is consistent
