Given:

  • A series is given.

        ⇒ 7, 5 = 31

        ⇒ 8, 3, = 81

        ⇒ 9,8 = 72

        ⇒ 7, 7 = ?

To Find:

  • Missing number of the series.

Solution:

            Let's take 7, 5 = 31

1. First add the digits of the resultant number(31)

      ⇒      3+1 = 4

2. After that subtract the bigger number and add smaller number from the result of step 1

     ⇒    4 - 7 + 5 = 9-7 = 2

Same pattern is used in the remaining series

     8, 3, = 81

     ⇒   (8+1)-(8-3)= 9- 8 + 3 = 4  ( 2×2)

   9,8 = 72

   ⇒    (7+2)-(9-8) = 9 -9 + 8 = 8   (4 × 2)

Now,

   7, 7 = ?

Here

    ⇒         ? - 7 -7 = ? (It should be 2 times of 8 = 16)

So the missing number is ( 9 + 7 = 16 )

Thus, the answer is 97
