let Fendi had X cards,grace had y cards.

then X +y=362,let it be eqn 1,

given,Fendi used 1/3 of cards and Grace bought 58 cards,they had the same number of cards,

that means, (X/3)=y+58,

from eqn 1,y=362-X,

=>(X/3)=362-X+58,

=>(X/3)=420-X,

=>X=1260-3X,

=>4X=1260,

=>X=315,y=47.

therefore, Fendi had 315 cards and Grace had 47 cards at first.
