Time shown I.e. time at which Pedro left home = 8:35 a.m
Tina leaves 20 minutes after Pedro. So 20 minutes from 8:35 would be 8:55 a.m
Carlos then leaves 18 minutes after Tina. So 18 minutes from 8:55 would be 9:13 a.m
Therefore, your answer is option (D) 9:13 a.m
Tip : if you are finding it difficult to keep track of the minutes, group them first as ‘5 mins’ groups. For example, for 20 mins, divide it by 5; so it will be 4. So now just count five numbers (4+1) numbers away.
