Given that -

30% of x = 50% of y

x × 30/100 = y × 50/100

3x/10 = y/2

y = 3x/5

Also, sum of x & y is 120.

x + y = 120

x + 3x/5 = 120

8x/5 = 120

x = 120 × 5/8

x = 75

Hence, bigger number is 75.
