THOMSON'S ATOMIC MODEL
J.J. Thomson a British physicist, who had founded the electron had also propounded the first atomic model. In that atomic model he described that the whole atom is a positive sphere which means it is in sphere shape in which electrons are present/embedded in it.
No. of protons in the sphere = no. of electrons in the sphere. In the atoms there is no space left, the whole sphere is completely full. It is then called as Christian pudding or watermelon shape. In Christian pudding the whole pudding is filled and no vacant space it there either the liquid part is there or dry fruits is there. Similarly the model is like that either protons or electrons are present in the sphere.
