# Analogous organs are functionally similar while structurally different.
# Homologous organs are structurally same but functionally different.
# The thorns of Bougainvillea and the thorns of citrus plants are analogous organs as they protect themselves from the grazing animals.
# As their thorns are functionally similar and structurally different.
Thanks.........

Throns of bougainvillea and citrus are modified stems which protects them for grazing animals.... As both the throns have same function but different morphology.. okay let me explain... If we talk about the throns in bougainvillea, they are small in size as compare to the throns in case of citrus plant... Secondly, the throns in citrus plants are little bit more pointed than that of bougainvillea. So this clearly shows that both the throns have same function but bit different structure.. it means they are analogous organs .
I hope i cleared all your doubts
