The species whose population has seriously depleted to a great extent and even it's ultimate security is not assured are known as vulnerable species.

The International Union For Conservation Of Nature has laid out its definition which indicates that these species are on the verge of extinction owing to the environment and also the circumstances they survive in.

Some of the examples of Vulnerable Species are Takin, Langur and white goat amongst others.
