Though action and reaction forces are always equal in magnitude.yet they may not produce accelaration of equal magnitude.Why?

because of the losses involved may be due to friction or airdrag etc.
a rocket moves up by reaction force but there will be air drag acting on it in opposite direction thus acceleration will be less
