hey there !!!

_______________________________________

we know that the calcium, sodium and magnesium are more reactive towards water .

even it sodium(na) can react in cold water too .

and , calcium is also most reactive metal so , when calcium(ca) reacts with water it forms calcium hydroxide and hydrogen gas released.

ca + h2o -------------> caoh + h2

when ca reacts with h2o than hydrogen(h2) gas released from it and stick to the surface of calcium (ca) which causes the floatation of calcium on water ,,

so , the calcium starts to flow on water even calcium is denser then water.
