Though caspian sea is enclosed its salinity is just 14 to 17 parts per thousands. Why is it so?

As the Caspian Sea is surrounded by land and there is no other way for water to get out except evaporation.

Therefore, the water evaporates but the salt is left behind in the sea making it saline.

Thus, the salinity is 14 to 17 parts per thousand.
