Though India's population is much higher than Japan's, the population density in Japan is greater. Why is this true?

  • Population density affects the health of the Japanese people in a number of different ways. The large numbers of people living in cities such as Tokyo create 2 to 3 lbs. of trash each per day multiplied by 12 million! This has led to the lack of landfills and dumps to take in all that waste.
