even though the narrator was inquisitive, he didn't hve intruding nature . this is bcoz when he took the boys to nursing home , he couldn't stop himself and was only relieved after knowing their secret. yet , he didn't go in to meet Lucy and spoke not a word to the boys while coming back in order to make them think that they had preserved their secret.
