Though lead is above hydrogen in the reactivity series, it does not react with dilute hydrochloric acid or dilute sulfuric acid.Give reason.

Because the product, I.e. the chloride/ sulphate formed by such a reaction is insoluble, and stops any further reaction due to an insoluble coating.

Lead on reacting with the above mentioned acids produces insoluble coating of lead sulphate and lead chloride and thus,do not produces Oxygen.
