NaHSO4 or Sodium bisulphate belongs to the category of acid salts. You are right! It is not an acid but is ‘acidic’ in nature. Sodium bisulphate is soluble in water and dissociates into ions after dissolving in the following manner:

NaHSO4 → Na(+) + HSO4(-)

HSO4(-) + H2O → H3O(+) + SO4(2-)

Since hydronium ion (H3O+) is responsible for the exhibition of acidic property, the salt ultimately behaves as an acid when it is dissolved in water.
