Though same current flows through the electric live wires and filament of bulb ,yet only the filament glows .why?

it is because the resitivity of the materials differ... the resistivity of the filament is very hight thus dissipitating the current as heat and light energy but the live wires are made up low resitivity allowing the current to pass throught it freely hence heat isnt produced.... i guess this is the answer

Yes same current flows through live wire and
filament of bulb but live wire acts as a medium
to carry electric current.On the other hand filament is made of tungstun of some other high melting point metals or non metal utilizes the energy and converts it from electric energy to light energy.
