Explanation:

according to the right of inheritence, the land has to be divided among the successive generations...and this may lead to the divison of land uneconomically...i.e., not enough to earn a better profit from it.

But still some poor farmers (almost all of them) keep on utilising the land at the maximum without labourers , wages , machineries (alternative sources of livelihood) etc.....

Thus there is an enormous pressure on agricultural lands.

Hi mate, here is your answer:-

I request you to read it out and understand:)

Though the right of inheritance leading to the division of land among successive generations has rendered land holding size and economical the farmers continue to take maximum output from the Limited land in the absence of alternative source of livelihood. Thus, there is enormous pressure on agricultural land.

There is a law in a country named the Law of Inheritance. This law states that the heir of the property of a person is his or her generation .For example, The property/ land that your father owns will be distributed b/w you and your siblings.

In India the ancestors of farmers today, owned quite a small area. This was inherited by their kids then by their kids and thus the amount of land that is owned by them today is very very small. So small that some of them are called landless labourers.

Now, they have such a small land. They do farming on the land i.e. owned by them. You think, how much production they can do on such a small land !

So obviously they have to do extensive farming and have to take out maximum output from the Limited land. Also, they have no other source of living.

So to cope with all of this situation, they have to take out maximum profits out of the only things they have.

Thus, there is an enormous pressure created on agricultural land.

Thanks

Hope it helps:)
