Water is a renewable resource , it needs to be conserved as -
* the need of water in world is very high and the water what is replenish is very small and take a lot of time as compare to that what is used.
* there is only 0.1 percent of drinkable and fresh water present in earth that's why we need to conserve our water resource .

It's true that there's a finite amount of water no matter what we do. The amount of water on Earth will always remain the same. We can't run out of water because water continuously works its way through the water cycle. It's a renewable resource.
