2x+18+3x-8+5x=180

10x+10=180

10x=170

x=17

so the angles are

52,43 and 85

We know that the sum of all angles of triangle is 180°

Given angles are ( 2x + 18 ), ( 3x - 8 ) and 5x

∴ sum of ( 2x + 18 ) , ( 3x - 8 ) and 5x = 180°

⇒ 2x + 18 + 3x - 8 + 5x = 180

⇒ 2x + 3x + 5x + 18 - 8 = 180

⇒ 10x + 10 = 180

⇒ 10x = 180 - 10

⇒ 10x = 170

⇒ x = 170 / 10

⇒ x = 17

Therefore, the angles of the triangle are

2x + 18 = 2( 17 ) + 18 = 34 + 18 = 52°

3x - 8 = 3( 17 ) - 8 = 51 - 8 = 43°

5x = 5( 17 ) = 85°

Thus,

angles of the triangle are 52° , 43° and 85°.
