Given:

Three angles of quadrilateral are 30°, 20° and 80°.

To Find:

Is quadrilateral the convex or concave quadrilateral?

Solution:

Let quadrilateral is ABCD:

∠A = 30°

∠B = 20°

∠C = 80°

∠D = ∠D

We know that sum of interior angle of quadrilateral is 360°:

∠A +∠B +∠C +∠D = 360°

30° +20° +80° +∠D = 360°

130° +∠D = 360°

∠D = 360° - 130°

∠D = 230°

Here we see that:

230° > 180°

Means

∠D > 180°

We know that if any one or more than one interior angle of polygon is more than 180°, it will be concave polygon:

So given quadrilateral must be concave quadrilateral because ∠D is more than 180°.
