Given,

a = 2

a5 = 25

To Find,

Three arithmetic means between 5 and 25

Solution,

a = 5 and a5 = 25

From the formula of the nth term in A.P. is a_n = a+(n-1)d.

a = 5 (Given)

a_5 = a + (5-1)d

a_5=25 = 5+ 4d

4d = 25 - 5

d = 20/4 =5

Therefore, the common difference(d) is 5

a_2 = a +(2-1)d = 5 + 1*(5)

a_2 = 10

Similarly,

a_3 = a + (3-1)d = 5 + 2*(5)

a_3 = 15

a_4 = a + (4-1)d = 5 + 3*(5)

a_4 = 20

Hence,  arithmetic means between 5 and 25 are 10, 15 and 20.
