Solution:
Given:
=> Three articles are sold for Rs.800 each.
=> One is sold at a loss of 20%.
To Find:
=> At what price should the other to be sold to gain 25% on the whole transaction.
Formula used:
=> C.P of each article = 800
=> Total C.P = 800 × 3
= 2400
=> Loss% on 1st article = 20%
Total selling price of 3 articles = 2400 + 600
= 3000
=> S.P of 1st article = 640
=> S.P of other two articles = 3000 - 640
= 2360
∴The other two articles should be sold together at ₹2360 to have a gain% of 25% in the whole transaction.
