To find:

Effective EMF of the combination between the points P and Q .

Calculation:

We can see that the three batteries are connected in series combination with same polarities.

Hence , the effective EMF will be algebric addition of the individual EMF of the batteries.

 \rm{E_{eff.} = E_{1} + E_{2} + E_{3}}

 =  >  \rm{E_{eff.} = E+ E+ E}

 =  >  \rm{E_{eff.} =3 E}

Similarly , the internal resistance of the batteries are in series combination.

 \rm{R_{eff.} = R_{1} + R_{2} + R_{3}}

  =  > \rm{R_{eff.} = 1 + 1 + 1}

  =  > \rm{R_{eff.} = 3 \: ohm}

So, final answer is:

Effective EMF is 3E and effective internal resistance is 3 ohm.
