The acceleration of blocks will be 2 m/s² in downword direction.

Explanation:

=> It is given that,

mass of block m₃ = 4 kg

mass of block m₂ = 2 kg

mass of block m₁ = 4 kg

Thus, net mass m = m₁ + m₂ + m₃ = 4 + 2 + 4 = 10 kg

g = 10 m/s²

=> Force :

F = m*g

Force, F₁ = m₁*g = 4 * 10 = 40 N

Force, F₂ = m₂*g = 2 * 10 = 20 N

Force, F₃ = m₃*g = 4 * 10 = 40 N

Total force, F = F₁ + F₂ - F₃

                  = 40 + 20 - 40

                  =20 N

=> Acceleration of blocks:

acceleration = total force / net mass

                     = 20 / 10

                     = 2 m/s²

Hence, the acceleration of blocks will be 2 m/s² in downword direction.
