Explanation:

Given Three capacitors of capacity 4uf,2uf and 3uf are connected such that 2uf and 3uf are in series and 4 mf is parallel to then. Find the equivalent capacitor of the combination

  • Now we have 3 capacitors of capacity 4,2 and 3 micro farad. 2 and 3 μf are connected in series.
  • Also 4 micro farad is connected in parallel.
  • So we have 2 and 3 are connected in series.
  • So we get 2 x 3 / 2 + 3
  •                  = 6/5 mf
  • Now 6/5 mf and 4 mf  are in parallel.
  • So equivalent capacity will be
  •                          6/5 + 4
  •                                26/5 mf
  •                                      5.2 micro farad.
