Given:

The three charges are

A=- 5 C

B=10 C

C=-12 C

To find:

The net electrostatic force acting on particle B

Solution:

The force acting on A and B

F'=-K(5×10)/r²

=-50K/r²

The force acting on the B and C

F"=-K(10×12)/r²

Now the net force acting on B is

F=√F'²+F"²

Putting the above values

F=(√2500+14400)K/r

F=K(130)/r

So the net electrostatic force acting on the B  is 130K/r
