Step-by-step explanation:

let price of chocolate, biscuits and cake be x, y,z respectively

3x+4y+5z = 34.

2(3x+4y+5z) = 2×34

6x+8y+10z = 68 (equ. 1)

6x+8y = 38 (equ. 2)

subtracting equ. 2 from equ. 1 we get

6x + 8y + 10z - (6x+8y) = 68-38

6x-6x + 8y-8y + 10z = 30

10z = 30

z = 30/10

z = 3

z = cost of cake = 3
